Iraq has closed its airspace over the entire country in response to joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on targets in Iran. The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority has halted civilian air traffic, and airlines have been asked not to fly in or
through Iraq.
Airports such as Erbil International Airport have halted flights, temporarily banning both inbound and outbound flights due to the closure.
Authorities say this was done to ensure the safety of aircraft and passengers amid the escalating violence between Israel, the US, and Iran.
