    I always avoided the text adventures because of their limited
    "understanding" of what you could do. I did try Hulk, or was
    it Incredible Hulk.

    In the beginning you were tied up and I guess you had to do
    "bite lip" to get free. If you did not do so, you would be
    forever stuck in the beginning. I never got anything done
    and gave up.

    For me it was probably "Gruds in Space" which I managed to beat by
    myself. I think it may be the only one I solved by myself so likely it
    was fairly easy.

    I remember that style, there was a bunch of these superhero text
    adventures. I think I played Spider-Man as well. Didn't get far in
    either.

    Sounds familiar. As I recall, anything you could do tied up to hurt
    yourself would turn you into the Hulk and free you from the ropes. There
    was "tip chair" for example. This puzzle at least wasn't the weird "moon
    logic" kind so favored by some adventure games.

    LOL, don't feel bad! That is how most of my experience with these adventure or puzzle games went.

    I think out of all the ones I tried.

    * Scott Adams series
    Adventureland
    Pirates Adventure

    * Windham Classic's
    Treasure Island
    Swiss Family Robinson

    *Tellarium
    Rendevouz With Rama

    *Sierra Online
    Leisure Suit Larry
    Police Quest 3
    Police Quest

    *Unknown publisher
    Masqurade

    I was only ever able to complete
    Treaure Island and Police Quest 3....

    So there ya go! :)
