What was your favorite text adventure or graphics/text adventure for the
Commodore 8-bit line?
For me it was probably "Gruds in Space" which I managed to beat by
myself. I think it may be the only one I solved by myself so likely it
was fairly easy.
I always avoided the text adventures because of their limited
"understanding" of what you could do. I did try Hulk, or was
it Incredible Hulk.
I remember that style, there was a bunch of these superhero text
adventures. I think I played Spider-Man as well. Didn't get far in
either.
In the beginning you were tied up and I guess you had to do
"bite lip" to get free. If you did not do so, you would be
forever stuck in the beginning. I never got anything done
and gave up.
Sounds familiar. As I recall, anything you could do tied up to hurt
yourself would turn you into the Hulk and free you from the ropes. There
was "tip chair" for example. This puzzle at least wasn't the weird "moon
logic" kind so favored by some adventure games.
