Hi All,

Made these on Saturday - they went pretty fast. :) I used Gluten Free
AP flour and made no other changes.

Title: Soft Honey Cookies
Categories: Dessert
Yield: 16 Pieces

1/4 c sugar
2 T canola oil
1 large egg,room temperature
3 T honey
3/4 t vanilla extract
1 c plus 2 tablespoons
-all-purpose flour
1/4 t baking powder
1/4 t ground cinnamon
1/8 t salt

[Note: 1 cookie: 77 calories, 2g fat (0 saturated fat), 12mg cholesterol,
31mg sodium, 13g carbohydrate (6g sugars, 0 fiber), 1g protein.
Diabetic Exchanges: 1 starch, 1/2 fat. ]
In a small bowl, beat sugar and oil until blended.
Beat in egg; beat in honey and vanilla.

Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; gradually add to sugar
mixture and mix well (dough will be stiff).
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350ø. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto a
greased baking sheet. Bake until bottoms are lightly
browned, 8-10 minutes. Cool for 1 minute before removing from pan to a
wire rack. Store in an airtight container.

Title: Beef 'n' Bean Torta
Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Beans, Chilies, Cheese
Yield: 4 servings

1 lb Ground beef
1 sm Onion; chopped
15 oz Can pinto or black beans;
- rinsed, drained
10 oz Can Ro*Tel diced tomatoes
- w/green chilies; undrained
2 1/4 oz Can sliced ripe olives;
- drained
1 1/2 ts Chilli spice mix
1/2 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
3 dr Hot pepper sauce
4 (8") flour tortillas
1 c Shredded cheddar cheese

Minced fresh cilantro
Salsa
Sour cream
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes

Cut four 20" X 3" strips of heavy-duty foil; crisscross
so they resemble spokes of a wheel. Place strips on the
bottom and up the sides of a 5-qt. slow cooker. Coat
strips with cooking spray.

In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat
until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the beans,
tomatoes, olives, chili powder, salt, pepper and hot
pepper sauce. Spoon about 1-2/3 cups into prepared slow
cooker; top with one tortilla and 1/4 cup cheese. Repeat
layers three times.

Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated
through. Using foil strips as handles, remove the
tortilla stack to a platter. If desired, sprinkle with
cilantro and serve with salsa, sour cream, lettuce and
tomatoes.

Title: Country Captain Chicken
Categories: Poultry, Main dish
Yield: 6 Servings

4 tb Butter
1 Small onion, finely chopped
1/2 Sweet pepper, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves finely chopped
2 tb Vegetable oil
1/2 c All purpose flour
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Pepper
3 lb Chicken serving size pieces
1 c Plum tomatoes
2 c Chicken stock
2 tb Curry powder
1/4 c Dried shredded coconut
1/4 c Sultana raisins
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Slived almonds to garnish
1 Chopped parsley to garnish

Melt butter in skillet large enough to hold chicken in one layer. Add
onion, carrot green pepper, garlic and cook until tender, about 5
minutes. Transfer to saucepan. Add oil to skillet. Combine flour,
salt and pepper in bowl. Roll chicken in flour mixture, cook in hot
oil until nicely browned. Drain off any excess oil. Add tomatoes,
their liquid, stock and curry powder to sauce with cooked vegetables.
Bring to boil over medium heat. Pour over chicken and simmer for 15
minutes. Stir in coconut and raisins; simmer for 5 minutes longer.
Test chicken for doneness, check seasoning. Arrange chicken in
serving bowl. Garnish with almonds and parsley. Serve with boiled
rice.

The tossing / scanning part is 100% on point though as I'm using HPT.
The reading part for sure will do strange things sometimes. :)

get a packet from your place once. I can't use it for real yet as I
haven't added checks for filenames, it will over write stuff right now. ;)
It's also insane slow, but I'm getting there. I doubt I'll ever actually finish it but I might!

Just before I decided to switch back to MBSE a while back, I did have the original BinkD set up under ArcaOS and it worked great. That's actually why Andrew started creating the BinkD-formatted nodelists for Micronet was for
my usage.

Title: Garlic-Rosemary Slow Chicken

1 5 lb roasting chicken;
-skinless
2 5 inch sprigs rosemary
2 Celery stalks with leaves;
-cut in 4 pieces
2 sm Onions; quartered
16 Garlic cloves
1 tb Lemon juice
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
1/2 ts Paprika
Rosemary sprigs; optional
Lemon half; optional

Remove and discard giblets and neck from chicken. Rinse chicken under
cold water; pat dry. Trim excess fat. Place rosemary, celery, 4 onion
wedges, and 4 garlic cloves in cavity of chicken; tie legs together
with twine. Place chicken, breast side up, in a 4-quart electric slow
cooker; add remaining onion and garlic to cooker. Drizzle lemon juice
over chicken; sprinkle with next 3 ingredients. Cover; cook on
low-heat for 8 hours. Discard rosemary. Serve chicken with vegetables
and garlic. Garnish with additional rosemary and lemons, if desired.

NOTES : Per serving: cals - 184 - 28%ff fat - 5.8g
