• All expense paid trip to El Salvador

From Aaron Thomas@1:342/200 to All on Thu Apr 17 15:42:24 2025
Despite the fact that the media has said dozens of times over the past few weeks that "CECOT doesn't allow visitors," Democrat US Senator Chris Van Hollen took a taxpayer-funded all-expense-paid excursion to El Salvador to try to have a visit with that terrorist that the Democrats want to bring back into the USA.

Could it be possible that DEMOCRAT Senator Van Hollen doesn't watch the news?

Could it be possible that nobody ever told him about the visitation policy?

Could it be he thinks he's so elite that they'd bend the rules for him?

Could it be that it's an expensive publicity stunt at our expense?

Except the fact that Kristi Noem, Jason Smith (R-Mo) and Riley Moore (R-W.
Va) Also have visited CECOT. Several others have visited El Salvador,
but wouldn't confirm or deny whether they visited CECOT.

Are you claiming that congressional delegates don't have authority to
visit detention facilities that the US government is funding?

Could it be possible that DEMOCRAT Senator Van Hollen doesn't watch the news?

    That's not likely.

Could it be possible that nobody ever told him about the visitation policy?

Again, not likely, based on the previous visits by US delegations.

Could it be he thinks he's so elite that they'd bend the rules for him?

More likely, people had assumed he'd been killed in custody by our administration's responses and people demanded Proof of Life. Although
    your claim isn't too preposterous.

Could it be that it's an expensive publicity stunt at our expense?

    No, see above.

He was stopped at a military checkpoint and refused entry. Apparently
there were 2 GOP house members allowed to visit the facility only
days before (according to USA Today).

Could it be he thinks he's so elite that they'd bend the rules for
    him?

Of the items listed, the one above seems most likely.

That is one of the big problems with the Elitists today. But mostly because they can't comprehend Reality and don't understand that they are less important than a rock.

I can think of many uses for a rock, but few uses for an Elitist.

They visited the prison, but they weren't there to drink marguritas with the inmates.

The US funds research in Chinese universities. Does that mean that members of the US government can go to China and do whatever they want? Get real.

That's all it was. What good did it do? US senators have no authority in El Salvador.

What exactly defines an elitist? Labels make a nice straw-man fallacy.
    Be specific.

I'm disappointed in the democrats. They're giving this oxygen, when all
Senator Van Hollen had to say is "I didn't order it. I didn't drink it.
    Next Question?"

We're El Salvador's customers here. So, bad analogy.
