The mayor of New York promised to impose a higher tax on the city's wealthiest. He has now been in office for over 100 days, and that promise has been kept. They are going to contribute a little more to the city to which they owe so much. There were a few wealthy people who shed crocodile tears, but they were scorned by others who indicated that the higher tax is entirely justified. With their enormous wealth, they won't even feel the few extra dollars they have to pay.
