This is a potential infinite loop, don't do that.

This appears to cause the menus to always be displayed at least once, and just once to expert menu-mode users. Is this actually how Wildcat! works?

I did test it. I am going to retest it using Baja and the Javascript version. I will try and look at it today.

wildcat! users in expert mode see the menu once and then after that just a short list of commands in the prompt.

Okay, apparently that is how the Baja version works because it was mimicking how Wildcat! works. I forgot.

In a previous review of this shell, I noted that the main menu was always displayed, at least once, even for expert mode users. After double-checking the Baja version of this shell, I confirmed that was normal/expected. Is that feature still present in this shell?

I checked it this way. It went into the default shell and made sure the expert was on, and in Baja the menu isn't displayed in expert until you hit the ? Key. This does the same thing.

For the default shell, yes, that's true. That's not true for the Wildcat! shell (since apparently that is how Wildcat! works/worked).

I checked with the Baja version and told my user that Shell made sure expert mode was on. It doesn't show a menu, at least with my version of Synchronet. Could it have changed somehow? Unless I read the Baja wrong, some are false and others are true, I will check that.

Baja doesn't show menu in expert at least with mine. I wonder if something is wrong with my version.

It don't do that on my end. Baja Expert mode no menu just shows prompt. Can you confirm this? If not, I will delete my Synchronet and reinstall it.

In expert mode, the Baja Wildcat! shells shows the menu one time (and one time only) without hitting '?'. See baja.src for details.
