Connemara Detailed Forecast for Wed 15 Apr 2026

Persistent rain or drizzle will affect much of Connemara through the day, heaviest during the early morning with some localities experiencing moderate falls. The wettest conditions are expected across southern and western areas, where rainfall totals of 10-20mm are likely. Cloud will remain thick and extensive, with patchy light fog persisting through the morning hours, particularly in coastal and valley areas. Temperatures will vary considerably across the region, ranging from around 8-9C in northwestern coastal districts to 12-14C inland and in more sheltered eastern localities.

Winds will be moderate to fresh from the south to southwest, generally 15-35 kph with gusts to 45-50 kph, strongest during the afternoon across inland areas. The wind will gradually ease from the west during the evening. Despite the persistent rain, conditions will feel relatively mild in sheltered areas, though the combination of rain, wind and fog will make for uncomfortable conditions exposed to the elements.
