Not too far away from me there is a miniature railway called the Romney Hythe and Dymnchurch Railway, that's a fun one that my daughter and I like to go to each summer. It runs from Hythe, going through New Romney, Dymnchurch and ending up at Dungeness.
At Dungeness is a no longer running nuclear power station, a light house (whic
we like to climb each visit) and a nice restaurant we get lunch at. On the way
back we stop at Dymnchurch and go to the arcades and amusements, get fish and chips (or a sausage and chips is preferable as I don't like fish :P), then hea
to New Romney and see the model railway inside the station, and see all the other old trains there. Then finally heading back to Hythe and a drive home after. It's such a cool day out. Highly recommend it if any of you are ever in
this area looking for something fun to do.
I hope you're all doing well. Yesterday was the last day of school for my daughter and now it's the summer hols for her. This time of year mean I get to spend more time with her and get to do some cool stuff.

What cool stuff have you got planned for your kids or just yourselves
over the summer period?

Lots of fun for the whole family.
A trainride, a lighthouse, an old train station, and a model railway? Sounds like heaven! :D
What scale is the model railway?
Wow kids stop much later in the UK then in the U.S. When do they go back to school. Kids in my area start in early Sept. and end in mid to late June.
w0w; in the states, the kids are done w/ school in early June!! They go back in late August...
My daughter will be heading up to PDX at some point; we've been doing
the local fun stuffs the past couple summers - I'm sure we'll find more fun this one...

I know right, it really is an amazing day out, probably more for me than my daughter haha
What scale is the model railway?
Well they have a mix but I believe the main sizes are 0 gauge and 00 gauge, bu
they have some tracks that are like the really teeny tiny gauge and a small section that is probably 4" wide but I have no idea what gauge that would be.
