No posts in here for a while, so I thought I'd blow the tumble weeds away.
python27.dll is in the SYSWOW64 dir. Its also in the system paths. I manually edited the paths to be sure.
At a loss still.

I remember chiming in a while ago, as we were having the exact same issue trying to get around the "cant initialize" error.
It's turns out it wasn't an issue with A48 (Win x64) as a few people
had suggested to me. It was actually a case of Mystic refusing to run
Python outside the main Mystic dir. I installed Pyth 2.7 within the Mystic
dir and hey presto, it worked! You don't even need to add a file path in the config as it'll locate the required lib automatically.
It frustrated the hell out of me for sometime and it's always sooooo simple when you actually get to a solution.
